So, what exactly is Fragment Space?
Fragment Space is a private group PSL ran by Len (

tsundereban). This means that this is something that is open only to those that are on my timeline.
It takes place aboard the S.S. Phoenix, a space craft that characters are brought to after characters learn that their world has been destroyed one way or another. Created by the Interdimensional Galactic Coalition, those aboard the ship travel to various different worlds where they complete missions to obtain 'fragments' that are meant to fuel the ship's "revival system", something that is used to restore player's destroyed planets.
You said that "my character's world was destroyed". So how, exactly did that happen?
That will be up to the player's choice! World destructions can be as serious or as silly as you want. Characters will have the memory of their world being destroyed and how, although even those from supposedly the same world may not remember their world being destroyed in the same way...
What kind of themes can I expect in this game? Is this going to just be pure sci-fi?
Nope! While there will be science fiction elements due to the game's premise, other genres can and will be broached upon. There will be an overarching plot and mystery, as well as exploration elements. Worlds will have varying genres and anything that needs to be content warned for will be noted.
Events will vary from more serious, plot-like events to things that are a little more silly and lighthearted.
How is world exploration going to work?
Characters will arrive at a new world every two months. The world post will have a thorough explanation of what to expect from that world from genre expectations, content warnings, what the civilization is like, etcetera. There will be toplevels for characters to ask questions, NPC interactions, and world investigations for each world in the follow up event post.
Does my character have to go out into the worlds?
While it is not necessary for characters to go to every single world, it is recommended that they at least go to every other world. This allows players to opt out of worlds that they may not be a fan of.
There will always be alternate activities on the S.S. Phoenix that will also allow for characters to obtain fragments, so don't worry!
What are missions going to look like?
There will be several types of missions, labeled from one star to five star in difficulty and will be split between three categories: permanent missions, S.S. Phoenix missions, and world missions.
Permanent Missions: Consider these missions as your 'jobs'. These permanent missions will not grant you any fragments, but can give characters additional funding to buy items on the ship as well as other worlds. There may be some permanent missions that characters may be unable to take upon themselves until they've reached a certain rank.
S.S. Phoenix Missions: These are missions that take place exclusively on the S.S Phoenix. Missions may vary in rewards depending on the difficulty.
World Missions: These are missions that are exclusive to the world in question. Characters will be allowed to take one fragment mission but can take as many other missions as they would like.
Characters may sign up for missions on the mission board that will be posted bi-monthly. While some missions will be eligible for handwaving, others will require thread submission. If a player does not submit their mission thread by the end of the two months, that character may potentially receive consequences.
Will there be a rank system? Yes! There will be a character rank system that will allow characters to upgrade to better dorms, get better cafeteria food and have more access to certain things. Regarding the rank system, there will be two ways to rank up: the first will be by completing a certain amount of missions. The second will be by staying on the S.S. Phoenix for a certain amount of time. More details on this can be found on the rank page.
Will there be a player or character cap?
There will be no strict player or character cap. However, players may only bring up to two characters from the same canon, given that the two characters do not interact or have any relations in canon.
What characters are applicable here?
Canon characters of any kind will be allowed, as long as there is a viable translation for them.
Original characters will also be allowed.
CRAU characters will also be allowed, and any abilities and physical transformations that they have gained can be kept at players' discretion - just let me know if you have any explicit questions about those.
Canon alternates and duplicates will also be allowed, although please discuss with others if you plan on bringing in a duplicate.
Characters who have died in their canon are also applicable and it will be up to the player if they want to play that character as corporeal or not.
There will be no age limit for characters being brought in, however, all NSFW content will be for characters 15+ only, no exceptions.
What content is and isn't allowed?
NSFW content is allowed, as long as you content warn for any underage sex in your posts.
Anything else is fair game, as long as you content warn for any triggering content. If you are unsure about anything, just ask.
Can I canon update a character? If so, how will that work?
You can! Canon updates will have characters remember the events of their world while they sleep. When they awaken, they will have those memories of the canon update. They may also wake up with physical changes as well.
Will my character's abilities be kept or nerfed?
Any world breaking abilities will be watered down on a case by case basis, but characters will otherwise have all their abilities. There may be worlds that may nerf abilities even further and will be noted in the world descriptions.
Can my characters die?
Yes! Characters who die will be unavailable for 24 hours. Characters who die may choose to have a post-death experience catered to the mod. While a character's first death will be free of consequences, characters dying a second time or more will have consequences, so please contact me so we can discuss a fun consequence for you!
I want to burn a building / destroy a house / murder someone / etc!
Feel free to communicate with me beforehand, as there may be consequences to these actions. I am willing to work with any players who want to go hog wild and do any significant changes to the setting--whether it be on the current world or the ship.
Will there be a network?
Yes! Characters will be given a device that will allow characters to communicate with each other publicly and privately. The device is hooked up to the S.S. Phoenix's systems and will be able to access anything from the ship as well as the current world as needed.
All characters upon arrival will be taught thoroughly how to use this machine, but whether they know how to use it well even after that tutorial... well, that's up to you.
If we're in space, will there be language barriers?
Characters automatically will be able to speak Common instinctively, the language aboard the ship. This is the language that will come naturally to most characters. They can, however, also speak in whatever native tongues that they'd like.
If they are speaking in their native tongue through the network, their network devices will do a perfect translation when sending it to other people.
While in other worlds, characters will also find themselves immediately understanding and being able to speak that world's native tongue, unless there is an event that prevents it.
Is there currency?
There is. Characters upon arrival will obtain a white debit card with money in it--all characters will start with the equivalent of $1000 (USD). Characters are allowed to spend the money on the ship or on world--there is a place on the ship that will allow you to convert your current currency to whatever currency that is used on the planet.
Will there be a Discord server?
Yes! It is not mandatory, but it will be one of the easiest ways to contact me and ask questions as needed.
Since this is a PSL, there's no AC, right?
There will be no Activity Checks, but there will be bi-monthly check-ins, just to make sure that people are not sitting on a character spot.
Anything else?
If there are any other questions that you would like to bring up, leave a comment and I'll get back to you as soon as possible!
